NFF parted ways with Finidi George following his resignation.

Finidi as an indigenous coach managed the Super Eagles in 2024.
The incoming national team coach of the Super Eagles is expected to get an additional attacker in the striking department; npflupdates.com reports.
The Super Eagles is expected to beat all opponents in their group so as to be able to qualify for the 2026 FIFA world cup tournament; after missing the last edition(2022) in Qatar.
Speaking about the striking department, 1996 Olympics gold medalist Celestine Babayaro, wants an alternative to Victor Boniface. Boniface in the colours of Nigeria, is enduring difficult times in front of goal; failing to score in almost four games.
Super Eagles need an alternative to Victor Osimhen
According to the former Chelsea man, it will be disastrous if Nigeria fail to find a goal-hingry supporter for Victor Osimhen. Hence is call to replace a non-serious Boniface.
“I (Babayaro) haven’t watched the team in a while but from what I can deduce there is the need for an alternative to Osimhen, and it can’t be Boniface. Over time Boniface has failed to prove himself as one who is serious when playing for the team”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
Victor Boniface needs to start scoring for the Super Eagles or he should be replaced accyto Celestine Babayaro.

” Whoever leads the team when the qualifiers resumes will have to look for an alternative to Osimhen who as we have seen can be trusted to be available for all games. That alternative can’t be someone who is not serious like Boniface”.
In another story, Italian manager Fabio Capello, link Samuel Chukwueze’s poor form to Milan’s abysmal form.
Milan is enduring difficult times in the Italian Serie A; and Capello wishes Chukwueze picks form so he can add ingredients to the attacking department of the former Italian champions.
“I think that a tall attacking winger capable of making the difference was essential. In the past, Milan has always pushed more to the left and it would have been useful to balance with a similar player on the right. Unfortunately, Chukwueze has never really clicked and there is no alternative with similar characteristics,” Capello said, per Milan.it.
