In a video released early Saturday, Nwaeke dismissed his wife’s statement as false, suggesting that she had been misled and given a script to read. He clarified that he is safe and currently in Abuja, where he voluntarily presented himself to security agencies over recent developments in Rivers State. “I am in TRANSCORP Abuja. I arrived this morning from Port Harcourt to meet with security agencies and report myself, as well as the troubling events happening in Rivers State. I resigned as Head of Service on Monday because of these developments,” he stated.
